Welcome to the enchanting land of Thailand, where, nestled in the serene countryside, lies a hidden oasis of tranquility and spirituality – the Wat Tamai Buddhist Temple.

Embark on a transformative 8-day journey immersing yourself in the profound teachings of yoga and the ancient wisdom of Buddhism.

In the heart of this sacred space, surrounded by the whispers of ancient prayers and the gentle presence of devoted monks, you will find solace and peace as we embark on a deeper exploration of your inner self.

THE ESSENCE

Immerse yourself in the serenity of Wat Tamai, where the harmony of yoga, meditation, and Buddhism intertwine, inviting you to embrace stillness, rejuvenation, and self-discovery. Allow the gentle rhythms of this retreat to lead you towards a profound sense of well-being, leaving you forever transformed by the beauty and wisdom of Thailand’s Buddhist temple retreat.

Sharing the space with the revered monks, you will witness their devotion and immerse yourself in the sacred atmosphere that permeates every corner of the temple.

The retreat unfolds with daily yoga and meditation practices, guiding you towards a harmonious union of body, mind, and spirit. Under the guidance of the experienced teacher, you will embrace the graceful flow of Hatha and Vinyasa yoga in the mornings, allowing the breath to guide your movements and open your heart. On some evenings, you will delve into the serene depths of Yin yoga, surrendering to stillness and inviting profound relaxation into your being. On other evenings we will indulge in soothing and rejuvenating massage sessions and other spa treatments.

Throughout the retreat, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the local culture and explore the treasures of Thailand. Discover some of Thailand’s most ancient relics at the ancient city of Muang Boran, where you’ll have a great collection of ancient ruins and monuments all in one location. Experience the vibrant energy of a Floating Market, where colors, aromas, and tastes blend harmoniously, immersing you in the rich tapestry of Thai traditions.

One day of the retreat will be dedicated to silence, allowing you to withdraw from external distractions and delve into the depths of self-reflection. As you follow a gentle Detox protocol that day, your body and mind will be cleansed, rejuvenated, and revitalized, paving the way for a profound sense of renewal.
To culminate this transformative experience, you will have the privilege of celebrating Loi Krathong, one of Thailand’s most enchanting festivals together with the monks, locals, and fellow retreat participants.

This retreat is designed to cater to individuals of all levels, including beginners. Whether you are taking your first steps on the yogic path or deepening an existing practice, the compassionate guidance of the teachers will ensure that you find your own unique journey.

TESTIMONIALS

“I consider the yoga retreat at Wat Vimok a truly unique and special experience. It includes yoga asana classes, but involved so many more branches of yoga such as karma yoga, bhakti yoga, raja yoga, etc. My intention for attending this retreat was to experience life in a temple and this experience exceeded my expectations. I appreciated that, for the most part, temple life continued despite our presence, and we were simply visiting without interrupting the usual flow of life there.

I felt incredibly lucky to be involved in the various activities and festivals with an “insiders” look into the workings of these different events. It was wonderful to have Gait telling us what was happening and why we were doing certain things at certain times in regards to the various ceremonies. All the people we interacted with and had contact with were so incredibly warm and welcoming and I always felt like I was being taken care of and looked out for. I have been to Thailand a few times, but have even more of an appreciation of Thai life and the rich Thai culture.

This retreat has also sparked an interest in Buddhism for me and has given me a renewed sense and purpose to develop and be more consistent with a meditation practice. Loy Krathong was the highlight and a day I will never forget, but overall all the days of this retreat are a period of time I will always hold close to my heartes here.”
